Old extensions are removed and replaced with a bright new kitchen.
CLIENT BRIEF
The existing flat-roofed extensions were dark and damp and turned their back on the rear garden. The Client needed more accommodation which was to include a new kitchen.
DESIGN
The kitchen is carefully placed within the courtyard to take full advantage of this small back garden. An overhanging roof shelters the south-facing kitchen from the direct sun and creates a sheltered space to extend the period in the year that the courtyard may be used.
